Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

“Jesus approached (the twelve) and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

We are called by Christ to bring the Good News to the whole world. We welcome and journey with those who hear God's call in their hearts to discipleship in Christ Jesus.  Through prayer, study and spiritual formation we walk with you as you move into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process of prayer, study and spiritual formation which prepares adults for entry into the Catholic Church.

Adults who may be interested in learning more about the fullness of Christ present in the Catholic Church are invited to contact:

RCIA seeks to journey with:

  • Unbaptized Adults
  • Baptized, Uncatechized Adults (Catholic or Non-Catholic) preparing for Confirmation and First Eucharist*
  • Baptized Christian (Non-Catholic) candidates preparing for full reception into the Catholic Church

*Baptized Adults who have received First Eucharist, but have not received the Sacrament of Confirmation are invited to join with our Confirmation Program for Adults offered twice a year at Pentecost and Advent.

Adults who wish to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are invited to contact us at 732-775-1056 for an initial interview appointment.

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is usually completed in 8 – 10 catechetical sessions.  Sessions are formed in the Fall and Spring of each year.

Attending adults will need to provide a recent copy of their Baptismal certificate from their home* parish.  This certificate should have a notation of First Eucharist.  If not, please provide a separate certificate of reception of First Eucharist in addition to the Baptismal certificate.

We are a multicultural Roman Catholic Community responding to the call of Christ.
As disciples of Christ led by the Spirit, we are continuously striving to create a Christian Community
that welcomes and accepts all people. We hold all life sacred and live out our discipleship as faithful
stewards of our time, talent, and treasure so that enlightened by God's Word and nourished by the
Eucharist we may labor tirelessly to make God's Kingdom visibly present among us.
